Mary Janes A Boards

Was lucky enough to be able to work on these A Boards for Mint Groups newest bar in the Minneries area of Londons financial district. A very smart bar required very smart boards!

Graffiti Art - 2nd Ever Try!

Great fun! Really enjoyed 3 days essentially 'messing' around with some car spray paints. Decorating & advertising this local hand carwash in Romford. This was the second spray 'piece' I have ever attempted... Was pretty chuffed with the final result.

Intoducing my young apprentice!

Louis Young age 6.

He really suprised me the other night by sitting in the studio and making about 6 drawings one after the other... All of which I've scanned and plan to maybe use in a future project. Who knows, a little further down the line we could become a father/son team!

Started - Herons @ Chafford Gorges Vis Centre...

Herons in flight at the Chafford Gorges visitor centre. The idea is to have 2 herons, but make one appear to be further back in silhouette. I also wanted people to appreciate the sheer scale of these huge birds...

Style change & refresh @ the Ranch...

Refreshing and changing the style of board signage is often a good way of keeping the customers attention, as eyes soon become used to seeing same old advertising... I like these new designs for the Ranch in Twickenham.

1st of the Christmas Boards!

I do signwork for Los Locos in Covent Garden twice a year, once to prepare for xmas and once to prepare for the new year... Alex, the manager got in early this year! My first boards for Christmas! Usually an indication that blackboard work will start to get busy... Fingers crossed!

Scout Jamboree Logo - Starburst Project

Spent a great week working on this logo as part of the Scout Jamboree's Starburst Project. Which, deploys teams of Scouts from all over the world to assist and work on various worthwhile, local community projects. This one being the walled garden project in Bedfords Park. Which saw, in the course of a week. Over 900 Scouts pass through it's gates. An amazing amount of hard work was achieved on site and the every Scout was able to leave their signature and handprint as a permanent reminder of their time at Bedfords. Among my favourite handprints was this one. A nice little map of the world back to front, because this girl from Chile had forgotten that it would print the wrong way round.
Thankyou to photographer Daniel Bridge for the use of the top two photographs.

Ladybird, Ladybird fly away...

Another panel down at Chafford Gorges visitor centre!

Mixed opinions about the 'flying' ladybird. Some say it's a little scary... Some ugly. Most like it! I just wanted to show a ladybird does fly and looks pretty awesome when it does so.

Only two panels left to work on now... Herons next!

Back at the Ranch, Rugby World Cup is coming...

Something I had forgotten about, any big events always generate a little bit of signage work.

Meanwhile, back on the Ranch...

Book a booth and more fruit on the finest Pimms board please!
No problem, hows that?

Great Paul, thankyou.

Thankyou, see you next time.

Guiness Logo - The Bitter End, Romford.

A nice local job! This logo is approximatley 10ftx10ft painted on the ceiling! My neck was aching for a week afterwards... The finished result is great though, and it really looks good. It's great to see people looking up at it and checking it out.

Beach party time at the Cooper's Arms, Chadwell Heath. Not the most detailed of windows I have created for them, but big, bright and eye catching!

Job done...

Bedfords Park Visitor Centre is 4!

Having seen the window art/ads at the Coopers, Fay & Daniel at Essex Wildlife Trusts Bedfords Park Visitor Centre thought it would be a good idea to use one of their large windows to advertise the centre's 4th birthday open day. The initial concept was to include 2 Badgers holding a banner. Sadly, there wasn't enough space for this. As face painting was being offered, the cartoon girl pictured, has her face painted like a Badger (Logo of the Wildlife Trust's).

Even more Elk!

One of my last visits to the Elk bar, Fulham for a while. This was actually the 2nd time of doing these particular boards. As, there was a difficulty reading the white lettering on the green background. I was called back to outline all the wording with black. Which has helped solve the issue.

Corporal Machine Guitar Case

I'd never thought of doing this!

A good friend and one of ' The Bombers', asked if i'd write on his guitar cases to advertise the band and promote the record company...

Corporal was happy!

I've got a new line in custom guitar case art... anyone?

Back Bar @ The Valentine

The Valentine, Gants Hill required a small amount of black & white signage and labelling for their what's on board. More and more pubs/bars are now leaning towards a crisper, cleaner approach to boarding throughout newly refurbished establishments. This job worked particularly well with the coloured lighting and good merchandising on the back bar.
